Shaq has been a valued member of the True North Sports Camp team since 2021, beginning as a Flag Football Counsellor and continuing to grow his impact each summer. During the school year, he facilitates youth programming with the YMCA and helps lead True North’s Fall and Winter Sports Clinics. Passionate about football, Shaq focuses on creating a positive, inclusive, and competitive environment where campers can develop their skills, build confidence, and most importantly, have fun. He is always looking for new ways to make the game exciting while ensuring every camper feels supported and involved. Shaq is thrilled to celebrate True North Sports Camp’s 20th Anniversary and can’t wait for another unforgettable summer on the field!

JMone Manhertz

J'Mone Manhertz

Assistant Director (Forest Hill)
J’Mone is an educator in the Durham District School Board where he has served for the last 14 years. He has extensive experience working with children and youth throughout Scarborough and the GTA, which includes his coaching experience in organized sports. Most notably, J’Mone both played and coached in the Ontario Varsity Football League where he earned multiple Offensive Player of the Year awards and scholarship offers. He further honed his skills providing one-to-one coaching to athletes preparing for post-secondary athletics. J’Mone enjoys being active through sports and recreation, especially football and basketball. He is eagerly looking forward to contributing to TNSC this summer in his second year, and being able to amalgamate two things that bring him joy - football and working with children.
