Introduction

We’re excited to announce the launch of a brand-new program: True North Kids Camp. Located at John Ross Robertson Junior Public School, our Kids Camp is a recreational day camp for girls and boys ages 4 to 6. Our goal is to help campers develop fundamental movement skills like running, jumping, kicking, throwing and catching by following the active start stage of the Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model in a fun and pressure-free environment.

For those young campers ready to choose their own adventure, we also offer the following sport specialty streams:

  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • Ball Hockey

Operating Monday to Friday with full and with half-day options available, our Kids Camp offers a variety of fun games and activities including:

  • Cooperative Games: Learning to work together through play.
  • Active Play: Engaging in fun activities that get kids moving and grooving.
  • Skill Development: Focusing on basic movement skills in a fun and engaging way.
  • Structured Leisure Time: Providing opportunities for rest and relaxation indoors, ensuring campers are recharged and ready for more fun.

Why Kids Camp?

Designed for ages 4-6, our Kids Camp is the perfect introduction to the world of sports and active play.

  • Active Start Advantage: We follow the Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model, ensuring age-appropriate activities that build essential movement skills like running, jumping, and throwing.
  • Choice is Key: Your child can explore a variety of fun games in our Kids Camp stream OR dive into specialized sports like Baseball, Basketball, and Ball Hockey.
  • Find Their Fit: Not ready for structured sports? No problem! Kids Camp is a great way for little ones to develop a love of movement at their own pace.
  • Pressure Free: We create a positive and encouraging environment where every child feels comfortable trying new things and making new friends.
  • Flexible for Busy Families: Choose from full-day or half-day options (AM or PM) to fit your summer schedule.
  • Built-in Breaks: We understand that little ones need downtime. Structured leisure time provides a chance to recharge indoors and escape the sun.

Give your child a summer filled with active fun, new skills, and happy memories. Enrol in True North Kids Camp today!
