Introduction

We offer a Multi-Sport Camp with a Hockey Specialty in Forest Hill at Memorial Park in partnership with Edge Power Skating. Our Multi-Sport Camp with a Hockey Specialty is a recreational day camp for girls and boys age 6 to 12.  Operating Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., we offer various sports and activities including cooperative, territory and target games as well as:

  • Soccer
  • Baseball
  • Flag Football
  • Basketball
  • Hockey

Camp Structure:

  • Morning Multi-Sport with TNSC (8:30 AM - 12:45 PM): Dive into a variety of sports, including soccer, baseball, flag football, and basketball. Develop fundamental skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a fun and inclusive environment.
  • Afternoon Hockey with Edge (12:45 PM - 4:00 PM): Enhance your hockey skills with expert coaching from Edge Power Skating. Focus on skating techniques, puck handling, shooting, passing and game strategy.

Skill Level Requirements:

  • Ages 6-8: Must play hockey at a House League or Select level
  • Ages 9-12: Must play hockey at a Select or Rep Level of A to AAA

For safety reasons Edge reserves the right to remove a camper from the on ice portion of the camp if their skill level is not at an adequate level.

Fees

In 2025, your first registration at Multi-Sport Camp with a Hockey Specialty will cost $670 (+HST).

Holidays

  • Please note that this camp operates as a Multi-Sport Camp only on the Civic Holiday Monday (August 4th). If you will be attending for only 4 days either  "CivicHoliday" discount code to receive 10% off your registration.

Discounts

  • We offer Multi-Sibling and Multi-Week discounts. A discount of $75 will be applied to the second week/sibling registration. Any additional registration after the second week/sibling registration will be discounted $75. 
  • Note that these discounts will be applied between different sports camps and locations (ie. Baseball, Flag Football, Multi-Sport, Soccer and Basketball) but if you're registering in a separate transaction the discount will not automatically apply and you will need to call us at (416) 619-1224 or email us at info@truenorthcamps.com to ensure the discount is correctly applied.
  • You have the option to defer payment until May 1st. Payment will not be required in full until May 1st.

Extended Care

  • Drop your child off as early as 8AM and pick-up between 4PM - 5PM for an additional $75(+HST)/week per child.

Location - Memorial Park

Indoor Facility

In case it rains and for the hockey portion of the camp, we have access to Forest Hill Memorial Arena, located next door to Memorial Park. For our Multi-Sport programming we are able to use one of the two ice surfaces (which is not frozen in the summer). If it is raining in the morning drop off will take place at the entrance to the arena.

What to Bring

  • Lunch/Snacks: All campers must bring their own lunch and snacks. Please note we are a nut-free camp.

  • Required Hockey Equipment:
    • Hockey skates
    • 2 shin pads
    • Hockey socks (to go over shin pads)
    • Jock
    • Hockey pants
    • Shoulder pads
    • 2 elbow pads
    • Helmet with mask
    • Hockey stick
    • Hockey jersey
  • Sunscreen and hat.
  • Athletic clothing.
  • Running shoes.
  • Water bottle.
  • Any personal equipment you wish to bring (gloves, balls, etc.) - remember to label everything!
  • Note: All Multi-Sport equipment (footballs, basketballs and bats, etc.) will be provided.

A day at Camp!

Every day at camp will be different, but a typical day is set out below. Prior to the first day of camp, families will receive a schedule outlining which sports will be taught on which days. Our coaches make an effort to strike a balance between teaching the necessary skills for campers to improve at each sport and facilitating games and competitions where campers have an opportunity to apply the skills they have learned.

Campers will be divided into groups based on age and skill level to ensure they receive proper instruction and are challenged by each activity!

  • 8:00 - 8:30am
    Extended Care with TNSC

    If a camper needs to be dropped off before 8:30am, we offer extended care from 8:00am for a small additional fee.

  • 8:30 - 9:00am
    Drop Off

    From 8:30 - 9:00am, parents will drop off their children and sign in with our staff. Short activities such as dodge ball, soccer, football and trivia will take place until camp begins at 9:00am.

  • 9:00 - 9:15am
    Warm Up

    Coaches will lead stretching and some fun warm up games to get campers ready for the day.

  • 9:15 - 10:30am
    Soccer Games

    Campers will be divided into teams and instructors will facilitate soccer games and competitions.

  • 10:30 - 10:45am
    Break

    Campers will gather for a short water and snack break.

  • 11:00 - 12:00pm
    Baseball Fundamentals

    Instructors will focus on a specific skill (ie. throwing, catching, or hitting) and tailor a lesson plan and drills to the particular skill being taught.

  • 12:00 - 12:45pm
    Lunch

    After finishing their lunch, campers will get a chance to participate in organized lunch time activities.

  • 12:45 - 1:10pm
    Hockey Check-in

    Our staff will bring campers to Edge's staff to help check them in to the hockey portion of the camp.  Our staff along with Edge's coaches will support campers in getting dressed into their hockey gear.

  • 1:10 - 2:00pm
    Hockey with EdgePS

    The basics of hockey is (besides skating), passing, shooting and stick handling. Repetition is key to success with just about everything. We focus on passing, shooting and stickhandling. We repeat our instruction and drills and over time comes improvement with improvement comes speed, agility and accuracy.

  • 2:00 - 2:10pm
    Break

    A quick water and snack break in the dressing rooms as the Zamboni resurfaces the ice

  • 2:10 - 3:00pm
    Hockey with EdgePS

    In the second hour, we pull together all the elements of passing, shooting and stick handling and execute game-based drills. Applying the new learnings of each technique to execute drills with speed and finesse. We end the hour with a 10-minute scrimmage

  • 3:00 - 3:30pm
    Break and Indoor/Outdoor Play

    Players will get changed in the dressing rooms and have water and snacks. Children will be able to play in the dressing rooms until parents arrive. Time permitting (or depending on how quickly the players can change) we may bring them outside for outdoor play.

  • 3:30 - 4:00pm
    Camper Pick Up

    Formal camp activities end at 3:30pm. Parents are welcome to pick up their children between 3:30 and 4:00pm.

  • 4:00 - 5:00pm
    Extended Care

    If a camper cannot be picked up by 4:00 pm, we offer (via True North Sports) extended care until 5:00 pm for a small additional fee
